Social commitment is in line with our self-image as a corporate citizen. Merck wants to help shape the local community and establish and cultivate long-term partnerships. A variety of donations and sponsoring activities create the basis for acceptance and trust in the region.

On a broad basis, we support especially those organizations and institutions in which our employees actively participate or volunteer. We can often provide meaningful assistance by donating money and supplies or by providing advertisements.

In addition, the company focuses on special events and important institutions, supporting initiatives that would otherwise not exist in such variety. We want to make the Darmstadt site attractive to citizens, employees and applicants with respect to cultural and leisure activities. Merck clearly acts as a sponsor in the supported projects.
