The Neighborhood Information System

We regularly distribute our brochure “Our Goal – Your Safety” to local residents, which provides information on what to do in an emergency. The site also has a Neighborhood Information System (NIS) in place that provides direct information and sends out an alert in the event of an incident. This informs the neighborhood immediately about any event directly affecting the surrounding area.

Another source of information is the Merck Information Service (+49 (0)6151 19733). The recorded telephone message gives information about a current incident or indicates if operations are normal. On the neighborhood watch hotline (+49 (0)6151 72-7000) our employees deal personally with any questions or information from local citizens.
